Foreign company seeks a SYBASE DBA. The ideal candidate would possess at least 3 years of experience in one or more SYBASE products including Adaptive Server Enterprise (ASE) 12.0 or later, Replication Server, Direct Connect, and Open Client. This includes experience in troubleshooting problems as they occur in each of these environments.
Relational database design skill is a must. Experience in managing users and schemas, creating new instances, troubleshooting client software problems is a strong plus. Spoken English is a plus.
Responsibilities: Data Analysis; Database Development and Support: logical and physical data modeling; database design; extraction, transformation, loading, reporting; data migration, data mapping, data usage analysis; data quality checking, data cleanup; server-side programs, stored-procedures, triggers Provide database administration support for SYBASE Database systems and related products. Responsibilities include ongoing database administration support, troubleshooting, and project work.
