Java developer (software for clinical&laboratory uses)
Responsibilities:
Research and prototype feature requirements provided by internal customers for a generic software infrastructure for execution of automated tasks
Create design documents and functional specifications based on research and prototyping
Develop robust software (Java) following the company's development methodology and best practices
Assist QA and publications teams to ensure the software is of high-quality
Collaborated with operations to troubleshoot and resolve issues ecountered in production; actively look for opportunities for improvement of software
Requirements:
Minimum 2-3 years programming experience
In-depth experience with object-oriented programming and Java development
Strong experience with distributed systems architectures (client / server, messaging, grid computing)
Knowledge of J2EE technologies (JDBC, JMS)
Experience with relational database systems (MySQL) a plus
