Software Test Engineer (in Dublin)

Responsibilities

Functional expert of the assigned Application(s) including all the underlying/dependant products, components, and technologies. Technologies include Windows 2003 Server, Internet Information Server, Database software, (SQL, Access, SAP).

Design, create, own, and communicate the test plan and test cases to support the testing and localisation of the product(s).

Configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and problem solving in the application environment, including infrastructure designs for hosting and testing.

Review all technical product specifications to gain product expertise, give feedback to core teams, and identify Testing/IS/Globalisation issues.

Drives the adaptation and design of testing tools. Research and roll out to test team.



Requirements

Qualifications should include an IT related qualification and a minimum of 2 years experience in a software testing role.

Expertise in localization tools/processes and functional/design specification review.

Writing Visual Basic or .Net programming (C#). Ability to implement hardware solutions in a testing environment based on product specifications & technical direction from core testing teams. MCP and/or MCSE accreditation as a plus.

Proven experience of working with software life cycle models.

Ability to work with all management levels. Team player.

Self starter - self confident & assertive, ability to work on multiple projects with delivery deadlines. Fluent English.
