Software Architect (in Dublin, MS)

Qualifications:

10+ years of related experience; Master’s degree or PhD preferred. Knowledge of competitor’s strategies and technologies including J2EE, IBM Websphere, BEA Weblogic, Sun and Oracle. Excellent knowledge and experience of the competitive platforms, products, companies and philosophies, and ideally will have similar background of Microsoft experience and expertise in large scale design and implementation. Strong understanding of security, reliability, scalability and platform management topics. Flexibility in regards to work schedule and travel. Current programming skills a strong advantage; previous evangelism experiences preferred. Very strong communication and negotiation skills. Passion for technology and solid knowledge of enterprise global IT requirements. Fluent English.



Responsibilities:

Ability to discuss architecture at both conceptual and practical levels. This should be backed by a strong understanding of existing industry-accepted principles such as Services-Oriented Architecture, Software as a service, along with other frameworks, patterns and best practices. Build and maintain trusted advisor relationship with enterprise architects, architectural decision makers and architectural decision influencers. Build and maintain deep understanding of: Architectural concepts, issues and trends; Microsoft architectural vision and platform roadmap; Developer life cycle, Microsoft enterprise developer tools strategy, including .NET frameworks, and Visual Studio SDLC tools. Competitor products including J2EE, IBM, BEA, Oracle, Linux. Integration of Microsoft enterprise products, technologies, and solutions into heterogeneous environments.
