MobileAware a leading provider of mobile business solutions has an opening of Senior Java Developer/Tech lead. This position entails a moderate-to-heavy amount of international travel (first month location: Ireland, then 4-6 months in Kenya or Brazil, then Moscow).

Project Description:

Our software products enable web-based content to be delivered to all mobile devices – allowing for easier creation, better presentation, and greater accessibility of mobile content and services.
Our customers are mobile carriers seeking to create and deliver compelling mobile services to increase wireless data traffic; media and entertainment companies seeking to extend their brand and develop new revenue streams by delivering existing web-based content to their mobile customers; and cross-vertical enterprises seeking to extend real-time business information to their mobile customers and employees.

Responsibilities:

The Senior Software Engineer will report to the head of Professional Services and will be responsible for performing application development and software integration activities as part of a professional services team developing Software Solutions with Java and/or JSP in a UNIX or NT environment.

Specific Responsibilities:
- Develop and present product demonstrations highlighting the value proposition of MobileAware technology and solutions in solving customers' business needs by
relating technical requirements to commercial benefits.
- Perform on-site and off-site technical tasks within a project scoping document, including the design, specification, and integration of MobileAware products within various customer environments. This may include a “team leader” role within a
development or consulting team.
- Provide excellent technical and business-oriented consulting across all areas of Mobility Systems.
- Act as professional on-site liaison with clients; coach and mentor team members; carryout project work plans, submit update and status report information into project
planning, and produce other relevant project documentation as needed.
- Develop custom software code production in required languages in accordance with project specifications and software quality control procedures.
- Conduct program-level specifications from analysis output or via direct liaison with customers and/or partners.
- Take initiative for improvements of products, processes and systems; participate in code reviews; identifying business risks; escalate issues when necessary.

Skills / Knowledge Required:

- J2EE (JSP) in Unix, NT environment
- BEA WebLogic products
- Object-oriented software programming and systems development
- Fluent English

Skills desired:

- Superior presentation skills; demonstrated oral and written communication skills; ability to talk effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work with internal and external customers to determine and manage both product and project requirements.
- Strong software and Internet technology skills with knowledge of database systems
